Farewell From 338

So here I sit, looking at my poor, pathetic room.  Clothes all over the floor, boxes everywhere, and drawers and bookshelves empty.  I can't help but wonder how I will ever get all of this junk home!

     Move out always makes me sad.  I know that I'll never live with the same group of people I live with now.  I must say, 3rd Center Girls...I will miss you.  I'll be moving back and most of my close friends on the hall will not be.  It won't be the same without you.

     I've also worked with some amazing girls with West Hall Council for the past three years and a large number of them will not be returning.  It makes me sad, but I know they are moving on to bigger and better things. I will miss them all terribly.  They have done wonderful things within West Hall and have helped make it more like home for me for three years.

     To all who were a part of it...thanks for an amazing school year!  Here's to a wonderful, productive, successful senior year!

Dirty Little Secrets

I would like to say Kassie Sweeney is a liar...but that would make me a liar.  I would like to say that I am not the slob that she said I am...but again, that would make me a liar.  Her most recent post has confirmed the fact that I have a dirty little secret.  It's true.  I am not a neat freak like some would think.  I am a complete and total mess!  I wish it were not so, but sadly it is.  So, if anyone wants to clean, bring your bio-hazard suit to 338 in West Hall, and I will put you to work!  Oh yeah, and Kassie, you better be the first in line!

On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross,
The emblem of suffering and shame;
And I love that old cross where the dearest and best
For a world of lost sinners was slain.

So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross,
Till my trophies at last I lay down;
I will cling to the old rugged cross,
And exchange it some day for a crown.

O that old rugged cross, so despised by the world,
Has a wondrous attraction for me;
For the dear Lamb of God left His glory above
To bear it to dark Calvary.

In that old rugged cross, stained with blood so divine,
A wondrous beauty I see,
For ’twas on that old cross Jesus suffered and died,
To pardon and sanctify me.

To the old rugged cross I will ever be true;
Its shame and reproach gladly bear;
Then He’ll call me some day to my home far away,
Where His glory forever I’ll share.

Jesus, thank you for the cross.

How Many More Weeks Until Summer?

So, maybe I can't wait until summer.  I love school, don't get me wrong.  I live, eat, and breathe school.  However, I feel like it's time for a break.  This weekend I got to meet my team that I will be working with all summer.  Can I just say I am so pumped!  We had so much fun and I can't wait to see them all again.  I also got to see tons of my favorite people in the world that I have met through missions through the BCM.  I mean, everytime I hang out with these people, it makes me want to go to school less and less, and just hang out and play signs with them more and more.  So anyone who is up for that, just let me know.  People think I'm crazy...but I'm completely serious.

     3 more weeks plus finals.  It seems like so long!  So many things to do.  So many assignments to turn in.  AHHH!  Oh well, summer is in sight now.  I am so excited for it!  I can't wait to see how God is going to work this summer!  3 more weeks plus finals.  Hang in there!
